I have a hard time shopping for others so I like gift guides. I am always looking for ideas, but I hate it when people just put down a bunch of items with no concern for quality. This post will be a little different in that some of the items I will have first hand experience with, others will just be things I want. I will try to annotate whenever I can.
THINGS I CAN RECOMMEND:

Nintendo has blended portable gaming with household gaming without sacrificing quality. There are a lot of game titles out now that are limited to just Nintendo, so if you have been away from Nintendo for a bit, there is plenty to keep you busy.

Get two more controllers, set it up on the projector and you have a night full of fun for bother adults and kids. The game offers driving assist, so even the youngest kid or drunkest uncle can play along!

Everywhere we go with this set of bocce balls it is a huge hit. A great way to pass the time before the movie starts or keep the fun going after the movie ends.

The Joetisserie continues to impress me and the fact that it is compatible with so many Kamado style cookers makes it a very versatile tool.
Kodiak Solar Generator – Yes it is expensive (My Review Here), but this thing makes your movie setup (and almost anything else in your life requiring electricity) truly portable and it is also very handy for emergencies too. THINGS I WOULD WANT:

All the kids are talking about it, save yourself a few bucks and pre-order it now. It will be out on 7 Dec 2018 and would make a great stocking stuffer. If know kids (or adults) with a Switch, they want this game.
[easyazon_infoblock align=”none” identifier=”B00EWCUK1Q” locale=”US” tag=”backyardmov05-20″] – Not really for outdoor use, but we have some friends that have these and the sound is pretty dynamite. Being able to control it with Alexa makes it even slicker, I am starting to think pushing buttons is for suckers.

[easyazon_infoblock align=”none” identifier=”B079QHML21″ locale=”US” tag=”backyardmov05-20″] – I have been very impressed with my first gen First Stick, I can only imagine it keeps getting better. If I am going to have a 4K projector, I need 4K material to show.
